Job summary

The Kensington Hotel in Ann Arbor is seeking an energetic Restaurant Supervisor to lead our restaurant team and deliver exceptional guest service every shift. You’ll work hands-on with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth daily operations and memorable dining experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the restaurant team in providing friendly, efficient, and exceptional table service.
  • Help create a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued from the moment they arrive.
  • Open and close the restaurant while completing daily opening and closing checklists.
  • Work closely with management and the kitchen to coordinate staffing, supplies, and daily operations.
  • Address guest concerns and find solutions that turn challenges into positive experiences.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly, professionally, and with genuine hospitality.
  • Maintain a fully stocked and organized bar, including liquor, mixers, condiments, paper products, and produce.
  • Greet guests, take beverage orders, and confidently recommend drinks and menu selections.
  • Prepare and serve beverages using standard recipes, proper garnishes, and responsible portion control.
  • Follow all state, federal, and company requirements regarding alcohol service.
  • Accurately enter food and beverage orders into the POS system and maintain guest checks.
  • Process cash and credit transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • Complete cash drops and end-of-shift procedures and ensure restaurant funds are properly secured.
  • Make sure the restaurant, bar, and equipment are clean, organized, stocked, and ready for the next shift.
  • Jump in wherever needed to help the team succeed!
