Job summary

Zax LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure the team delivers excellent guest experiences. You will manage schedules, train staff, and coach for performance while maintaining compliance with all standards and policies.

The role emphasizes team leadership, operational discipline, and a positive culture to drive guest satisfaction and business results in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time on-site position with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate leadership qualities.
• Must possess strong organizational skills.
• Ability to interact cooperatively with others and work in a team.
• 1-3 years management experience required; restaurant management experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Open availability and ability to work a minimum of 5 days and 32 to 48 hours per week.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Successful completion of background check.

Responsibilities

• Complete all training requirements including development plans and certifications.
• Enhance guest experiences by ensuring team meets guest expectations.
• Create effective work schedules following company standards and local laws.
• Plan and delegate shift assignments, communicate expectations and adjust as needed.
• Supervise, provide leadership, and coach team members to perform at their best.
• Maintain service, product quality, and cleanliness standards.
• Communicate performance concerns to General Manager; assist with reviews and development.
• Maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example.
• Handle guest and team member complaints promptly and respectfully.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws; maintain safety standards.
• Report HR and risk management concerns to leadership; escalate when appropriate.
• Perform all other duties necessary to ensure restaurant operations function properly.
