Qualifications

• Must be credentialed as an RRT/CRT by NBRC at hire.
• Active Iowa license to practice respiratory care is required.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• ACLS certification preferred within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer inhaled medications and perform blood gas analysis.
• Operate ventilators and respiratory care equipment.
• Assist CPR and intubation; manage artificial airways and transports.
• Record keeping, billing and medical record documentation.
• Provide patient instruction on use of respiratory devices.
