Pruit Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist in Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves respiratory health teaching, patient evaluation and treatment, and supervising the Respiratory Technician. Responsibilities include executing therapy treatments, maintaining patient care records, and collaborating with physicians to optimize patient care. Candidates should have active Respiratory Therapist licensure in Georgia and at least one year of experience in healthcare. Preferred qualifications include experience with ventilated patients and long-term care facilities.
Responsible for respiratory health teaching, patient evaluation and treatment. Works closely with physicians and pertinent staff regarding patient care. Supervises the Respiratory Technician. Educates patients and fellow employees on the proper use, features, safety and benefit of respiratory equipment. Maintain an active technical knowledge of respiratory products and services provided by the center.
Eligible as a Certified Respiratory Therapist or as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
One (1) year’ experience as a Respiratory Therapist in the healthcare industry.
Current, active and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) licensure/certification in state of practice.
Previous experience with vent patients and long term facilities preferred.
