Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Davenport seeks a Respiratory Therapist to perform patient assessment, evaluate therapies, administer treatments, consult with clinicians, and monitor equipment across neonate to geriatric patients. You will support CPAP/BiPAP therapies, arterial and gas analyses, and airway management.

Qualifications

• Must be credentialed as a certified or registered respiratory therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care upon hire.
• Must have an active license as a respiratory care practitioner in the State of Iowa upon hire.
• Must be BLS certified within 3 months of hire.
• ACLS preferred within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs inhaled medication therapy and related respiratory procedures.
• Participates in CPR, intubation support, and management of ventilatory care.
• Assembles and troubleshoots respiratory equipment and monitors results.
• Records and documents patient care activities and billing.
