Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver respiratory care across acute and critical care areas. The role includes ventilator management, oxygen therapy, bronchoscopy support, and ABG analysis, with duties spanning pediatrics to geriatrics.

Required are a respiratory therapy program graduate, NBRC credentials, and Iowa licensure, plus availability for day shift and weekend packages. MercyOne offers sign-on and relocation benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; or associate degree in chemical, physical or biological science.
• Graduate of a respiratory therapy program required or board-eligible near graduation.
• NBRC credentials at CRT or RRT level required at hire/transfer.
• Current Iowa Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required.
• CAPRS and N95 fit testing validation within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer routine respiratory care to pediatric to geriatric patients.
• Perform incentive spirometry, oxygen therapy and bronchoscopy support.
• Ventilator management and arterial blood gas sampling as ordered.
• Provide patient education and assist with community events in respiratory care.
