Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in oxygen delivery modes and equipment for prescribed therapies.
• Administers therapeutic procedures and performs diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Initiates, monitors and maintains ventilators; aware of critical care duties.
• Evaluates therapies and recommends plans of care and patient education.
• Documents therapy and communicates results to the healthcare team.
• Initiates and adjusts respiratory care techniques in emergencies and analyzes blood samples.
• Operates in all patient care areas; proficient with EMR interfaces for Respiratory Care.
• Follows safety guidelines and completes regulatory and proficiency requirements.
