Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join the Nursing Float Pool. You will manage ventilators and administer therapies in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires graduation from an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program with RRT credentials, state licensure, and at least 2 years of critical care experience in ED/virtual ICU. Candidates must be able to work 36 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care; RRT or equivalent.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist; licensed as Respiratory Care Practitioner; BLS required.
• 2 years' critical care experience for ED and Virtual Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Administers prescribed respiratory therapies.
• Conducts diagnostic procedures as per policy.
• Evaluates current therapies and makes care plans.
• Documents therapy results and communicates with care team.
• Performs blood sampling analysis and interprets results.
