Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for the Respiratory Therapy Services department. The role includes managing oxygen delivery, ventilator support, and related care to ensure adequate patient oxygenation and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy; Associate degree required; BA/BS preferred.
• Credentialed as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and licensed in the state; Basic Life Support required.
• Education: BSRT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen delivery modes and equipment; conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures.
• Administers therapeutic procedures and performs diagnostic procedures as per policy.
• Initiates, monitors and maintains mechanical and non-invasive ventilators; understands critical care duties.
• Evaluates current therapies and makes recommendations on plans of care and patient education.
• Documents therapy and results; communicates with healthcare team.
• Performs blood sampling analysis and interprets results for treatment.
• Works independently across patient care areas and uses EMR in Respiratory Care.
• Follows safety guidelines and completes regulatory requirements.
