Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy required.
• Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy required (or equivalent experience may be considered).
• BA/BS or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in oxygen delivery methods and related equipment.
• Administers therapeutic procedures and diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Initiates, monitors and maintains mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluates current therapies and recommends plans of care.
• Documents therapy results and communicates with the healthcare team.
• Performs respiratory care in emergency settings and analyzes blood gases.
• Works independently across patient care areas and supports colleagues.
• Follows safety guidelines and regulatory compliance; completes proficiency evaluations.
