Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a motivated sales professional to cover a defined territory including Bel-Air, MD, and surrounding areas. This field-based role focuses on engaging specialist customers for a GSK biologic product and delivering scientific education.

You will navigate payer/distribution landscapes, build strong relationships with customers and internal teams, and travel domestically as needed while upholding GSK values and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience or 2+ years business-to-business sales.
• Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel.
• Must live in the geography.
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Provide Scientific Knowledge, Business Acumen, and Customer Engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
• Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and refer to appropriate resources for reimbursement and distribution choices.
• Maintain knowledge and data related to severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
• Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers.
• Work within Compliance guidelines and GSK values at all times.
• Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
• Develop and implement strategies for each customer (e.g., Primary Care Physicians, Allergists, Pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, managers).
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical (MSLs), and other functions.
• Effectively manage allocated resources (i.e., financial).
• Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer requests and needs.
