Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline in the US is seeking a field-based Pharmaceutical Sales Representative to cover Somerset, KY and surrounding territories. You will build relationships with primary care and specialty clinics, present scientific information, and drive product adoption while adhering to compliance standards.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years pharmaceutical or B2B sales, be able to travel domestically, and reside within the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience or 2+ years business-to-business sales.
• Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel.
• Must live in the geography.
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Provide Scientific Knowledge, Business Acumen, and Customer Engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
• Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and refer to appropriate resources for reimbursement and distribution choices.
• Maintain knowledge of severe asthma therapeutic expertise and update accordingly.
• Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers.
• Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
• Develop and implement strategies specific to each customer within an account (i.e., Primary Care Physicians, Allergists, Pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, business/office managers).
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical (MSLs), and other functions within GSK.
• Effectively manage allocated resources (financial).
• Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customers' requests and inquiries.
