Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to provide comprehensive direct and indirect patient care across home, office, and hospital environments in accordance with policies and procedures. You will serve as a subject matter expert, conduct training, and mentor teammates while ensuring efficient service delivery.

The role involves assisting with PAP/BIPAP setup, equipment instruction, and coordination with Respiratory Department staff to support respiratory patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Related experience in construction, manual labor, military, or equipment repair.
• Medicare-certified HME experience or related tasks preferred.
• Respiratory therapy or DME knowledge preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department staff to provide equipment instruction and service.
• Set up PAP/BIPAP equipment and fit masks with clear instructions.
• Conduct follow-up calls/visits to ensure optimal care outcomes.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot equipment.
• Document paperwork and billing-related forms accurately.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Assist with quality improvement programs and referrals.
