Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to deliver comprehensive care across home, office, and hospital environments in line with policies. You will act as a subject matter expert, provide equipment setup and maintenance, train new hires, and mentor teammates.

You will collaborate with CPAP/BIPAP program managers and operations to ensure optimal equipment delivery, troubleshoot issues, and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Related experience in construction, manual labor, military or equipment repair/maintenance.
• Experience in Medicare-certified HME environment billing insurance preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with respiratory staff to provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with equipment and masks, communicating instructions clearly.
• Conduct follow-up calls/visits to ensure care outcomes and escalate urgent needs.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Document accurately per company and regulatory requirements, including ABNs and forms.
• Promote services and products to community referral sources.
• Assist with quality improvement programs and documentation for billing.
