Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care across home, office, and hospital environments. You will serve as a subject matter expert, train new hires, and mentor team members while ensuring efficient, compliant service delivery.

The role collaborates with the Respiratory Department and program managers to optimize equipment setup, maintenance, and patient education, adhering to HIPAA and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in Medicare certified HME environment with billing is a plus.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department Staff and Program Managers to provide equipment instruction and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with appropriate equipment and masks, communicating instructions professionally.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls/visits to ensure optimal care outcomes and contact clinical support when urgent needs arise.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and simple repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of current Respiratory Programs and HME products and services.
