Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to deliver comprehensive patient care across home, office, and hospital environments. You will serve as a subject matter expert, provide equipment instruction, and mentor team members to ensure efficient, high-quality service.

The role requires setting up PAP equipment, performing maintenance, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant documentation while coordinating with clinic staff and insurance processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department staff and program managers to provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with equipment and masks, communicating instructions clearly.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls and visits to ensure optimal care outcomes; contact clinical support for urgent needs during home visits.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and simple repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Report equipment hazards and product incidents according to company policies.
• Maintain knowledge of current Respiratory Programs and DME products/services.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately, including delivery tickets and equipment-related forms.
• Develop reimbursement knowledge to ensure proper billing documentation.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and Compliance Program.
• Adhere to PPE, infection control, and hazardous materials handling procedures.
• Assist in quality improvement initiatives and refer services to community sources as appropriate.
