Job summary

AdaptHealth seeks a Respiratory Support Technician to deliver direct and indirect patient care across home, office, and hospital settings. You will fit and instruct PAP devices, maintain equipment, and support patients with clear, compassionate communication.

The role requires collaboration with respiratory staff and program managers, adherence to HIPAA, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while traveling within the service area as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in Medicare-certified HME environment with billing.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME preferred.
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up PAP/BIPAP equipment and masks with clear patient instructions.
• Conduct follow-up calls and home visits to ensure optimal care outcomes.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and simple repairs per policy/guidelines.
• Report equipment hazards and product incidents per policies.
