Job summary

Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors is seeking a Resort Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team across resort grounds, facilities, and utilities. You will oversee multiple maintenance tasks, coordinate with the Resort Manager, and ensure high-quality upkeep of all outdoor and indoor areas.

You will perform routine inspections, manage move-in readiness, and maintain logs, safety protocols, and vendor relationships to keep the property well-presented and safe for residents and guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; basic computer skills expected.
• Minimum 3 years of general maintenance experience in grounds, facilities or related areas.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing, construction, pool and grounds maintenance.
• Proficient with hand tools and power equipment; safety minded.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise resort maintenance team and coordinate tasks to complete work orders.
• Perform water testing and related maintenance for well-water systems or meters.
• Assist with maintenance of grounds, clubhouses, pools, streets and landscaping.
• Oversee selection of contractors and supervise on-site work.
• Inspect resident sites and assist with move-in procedures.
• Maintain maintenance logs and equipment inventories.
• Ensure safe storage of chemicals and compliance with safety procedures.
• Report status and issues to Resort Manager daily.
• Support capital expenditure reviews and budget adherence.
