Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking a Resort Maintenance Supervisor to oversee grounds, facilities, and equipment at a New Jersey resort property. You will manage maintenance teams, supervise contractors, and ensure safety and service quality.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, supervisory background, and the ability to coordinate move-ins, inspections, and on-call emergencies. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3 years of maintenance/grounds experience required.
• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with plumbing, construction, pool and grounds maintenance.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power equipment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on work orders to ensure thorough completion.
• Perform water testing and related maintenance for well-water systems.
• Assist with grounds and facilities maintenance including lawns, clubs, pools, streets, and landscaping.
• Select and supervise on-site contractors for services.
• Conduct site inspections and oversee move-in procedures and lot mods.
• Coordinate team selection and development; enforce policies and procedures.
• Prioritize service requests and maintain records of requests.
• Collaborate with Resort Manager on on-call emergency maintenance.
• Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials and safe equipment use.
• Maintain maintenance logs and budget-conscious purchasing.
• Report status to Resort Manager daily; issue rule reminders as needed.
• Support capital expenditure processes and budget variances.
