Job summary

Sun Outdoors is seeking a Resort Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep of resort grounds, facilities, streets, and equipment. You will supervise maintenance teams, ensure safety, and coordinate inspections and renovations across property sites.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3 years in general maintenance plus 1 year of supervisory experience, and the ability to work non-business hours. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of experience in general maintenance techniques, repair work, and groundskeeping.
• 1 year of supervisory experience required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of plumbing, construction, pool and grounds maintenance.
• Proficient with hand tools and power equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and train staff.
• Good verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, internet).
• Ability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours.

Responsibilities

• Follows up on work assignments to ensure efficient completion of work orders.
• Performs water testing and maintenance related to well-water systems or on-site meters where applicable.
• Oversees maintenance of grounds, clubhouses, pools, streets, curbs and landscaping.
• Assists with selection of contractual services and on-site contractor supervision.
• Completes regular inspections of resident sites and safety compliance.
• Ensures staff follow safety procedures and use safety equipment.
• Assists with move-in procedures, inspections, and lot mod oversight.
• Coordinates team member selection, development and policy adherence.
• Prioritizes and resolves resort service requests; maintains request logs.
• Establishes emergency on-call maintenance schedules.
• Ensures adherence to company operating policies.
• Assists with maintenance of new homes as directed.
• Maintains vehicle and equipment maintenance logs and performs routine maintenance.
• Coordinates and completes routine maintenance and minor emergency repairs.
• Ensures safe storage of hazardous chemicals/equipment.
• Prepares maintenance logs per Operations Manual.
• Manages equipment inventory and procurement within budget.
• Reports status of maintenance to RV Resort Manager daily.
