Job summary

Sunrun is seeking a Certified Hybrid Field Technician to support residential solar installations. The role involves site assessments before installation, post-install inspections, and various field tasks across multiple job sites.

You will follow intraday schedules, collect data, and ensure compliance with internal standards and local codes while interacting with customers and teams. Strong preference for candidates with a valid state license and PV experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid State Journeyman Electrical License or Construction Supervisor License required.
• PV design/installation experience preferred (1+ year).
• Comfort on roofs and working at heights.
• Familiar with basic hand tools and mobile tech.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
• Must be 21+ with valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer homes to collect measurements, photos, and data for solar design.
• Assess roof conditions and electrical service panels using standardized tools.
• Climb ladders, walk rooftops, and conduct attic inspections.
• Submit survey data timely using mobile field tools.
• Perform post-installation inspections and ensure readiness for AHJ/utility approval.
• Coordinate with install teams to resolve inspection issues and schedule inspections.
