Sunrun’s Hybrid Field Technician role supports both survey and inspection phases of residential solar projects, performing site assessments, data collection, and pre- and post-install inspections. You will work across multiple sites, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• PV design/installation experience helpful.
• Comfortable working on roofs and ladders.
• Familiar with basic hand tools and measuring devices.
• Good attention to detail and procedure compliance.
• OSHA 10/30 preferred.
• Must be 21+ with valid driving record.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer homes to collect measurements, photos, and data for solar design.
• Assess roof conditions and electrical service panels.
• Climb ladders, walk rooftops, and attic inspections as required.
• Submit survey data using mobile field tools.
• Perform post-install inspections and ensure readiness for AHJ/utility approval.
• Verify installations match plans and safety standards.
• Coordinate with install teams to resolve inspection issues.
• Schedule inspections with AHJ and customers.
