Job summary

Sunrun is seeking a Certified Hybrid Field Technician to support both the beginning and end of the residential solar installation pipeline. You will perform site assessments prior to installation, inspections after installation, and other field work.

This role requires hands-on problem solving, customer interaction, and daily field responsibilities across multiple sites. You will follow dynamic schedules, work with various teams, and ensure data accuracy for successful inspections.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Valid state Electrical Certification at Journeyman or higher is required.
PV design/installation experience or related field experience is helpful (1+ year).
Comfortable working on roofs and elevated spaces.
Must be 21+ years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Visit customer homes to collect measurements, photos, and data for solar design.
Assess roof conditions and electrical service panels.
Climb ladders and inspect attics as needed.
Submit survey data using mobile tools.
Perform post-installation inspections for readiness and compliance.
Ensure installations meet codes, workmanship, and safety standards.
Collaborate with installation teams to resolve inspection issues.
Document inspection readiness with photos and notes.
Coordinate with AHJ and customers to schedule inspections.
