Job summary

Sunrun Inc. is seeking a Certified Hybrid Field Technician to support the residential solar installation process from site assessment to post-install inspections.

This role involves collecting measurements, photos, and data to ensure designs meet codes and AHJ requirements, while working across multiple sites with dynamic schedules. You will inspect roofs, panels, and wiring, collaborate with install teams, and help verify readiness for final approvals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid state Electrical Certification at Journeyman or higher.
• PV design/installation experience helpful (reading blueprints, testing wiring).
• Comfortable working on roofs and ladders.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• Must be 21+ years old with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer homes to collect measurements and data for solar design.
• Assess roof and electrical service panels for installation readiness.
• Climb ladders and inspect attics as needed.
• Submit survey data using mobile field tools.
• Perform post-install inspection visits for AHJ/utility readiness.
• Ensure installed systems match plans and safety standards.
• Coordinate with installation teams to resolve inspection issues.
• Document inspection readiness with photos and notes.
