Job summary

Sunrun is seeking a Hybrid Field Technician to perform site assessments, post-install inspections, and field-related tasks across residential solar projects. The role emphasizes accurate data collection, safety, and collaboration with install teams for smooth inspections.

You will follow intraday schedules, work across multiple sites, and maintain safety and compliance while contributing to project readiness and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Basic PV design/installation knowledge advantageous.
• Comfort working on roofs and around electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer homes to collect measurements and data for solar design.
• Assess roof conditions and electrical service panels to plan installations.
• Climb ladders and inspect attics as needed during surveys.
• Submit survey data using mobile field tools in a timely manner.
• Perform post-install inspections to ensure readiness for AHJ/utility approval.
• Verify installations meet plans, workmanship, and safety codes.
• Collaborate with install teams to resolve inspection issues.
• Provide documentation (photos, checklists) for inspection readiness.
• Discuss system installations with AHJ and customers as needed.
• Schedule inspections with AHJ and customers.
• Support field readiness and day-to-day scheduling across sites.
