Job summary

The New York Foundling seeks a seasoned leader to oversee residence operations, ensuring high-quality, person-centered services for individuals supported. You will supervise Direct Support Professionals, collaborate with nurses, and uphold safety, dignity, and rights in everyday care.

Responsibilities include staff coaching, performance management, compliance with OPWDD regulations, and coordinating with families and external partners to deliver integrated supports.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential services, preferably with developmental disabilities.
• Proven ability to supervise Direct Support Professionals and manage teams.
• Knowledge of OPWDD regulations and program standards.
• Strong communication and crisis-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to Direct Support Professionals, ensuring adherence to agency policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with MAP, nurses, BIS and other team members to support medical and clinical care.
• Develop and retain a strong DSP workforce through coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and readiness for audits or site visits.
• Coordinate with external agencies, families, and healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive services.
