Job summary

The New York Foundling is seeking an experienced residential services leader to oversee the residence, supervise Direct Support Professionals, and ensure high‑quality, person‑centered care that protects health, safety, independence, dignity, and rights of those supported.

Key duties include collaborating with MAP, nurses, and colleagues; talent development and performance management; regulatory compliance with OPWDD; emergency preparedness; and coordination with families and external providers

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in residential services with supervisory experience.
• Valid Driver's License from NY/NJ/PA/CT with 6 points or less.
• Knowledge of Developmental Disabilities and regulatory standards.
• Budget management and budgeting for residence.
• Excellent communication and crisis management skills.
• Documentation and record-keeping proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to Direct Support Professionals.
• Collaborate with nursing and team to coordinate medical and clinical care.
• Develop and retain a strong DSP workforce with coaching and training.
• Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations and program standards.
• Coordinate with external agencies, families, and healthcare providers.
• Implement emergency preparedness protocols.
• Maintain relations with stakeholders to enhance support networks.
