Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Residential Route Supervisor to oversee daily service delivery for residential customers, ensuring safe and cost-effective operations. The role involves directing drivers, coordinating routes, and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years experience in transportation, management, logistics or waste industry; or an Associate's Degree with related experience.
• Knowledge and prior application of Smith System and/or Decision Driving principles and techniques.
• Basic computer skills and general knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, ANSI and other related regulations.
• Valid class A or B commercial driver's license (or ability to obtain one within 3 months) with a driving record meeting company standards.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for supervising drivers and daily operations; greet drivers and ensure pre/post trip inspections.
• Establish and maintain a clean, safe work environment; ensure compliance with policies.
• Lead safety meetings and reinforce safe work practices.
• Route planning for new service starts and scheduling; optimize calls while controlling labor costs.
• Address customer issues, route problems, and coordinate with sales for service changes.
• Perform route observations to ensure safety; address training needs with drivers.
• Monitor driver time, inspections, and compliance with DOT hours; address repairs with shop.
