Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Residential Route Supervisor to oversee daily service delivery for residential customers, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective service in line with company practices and regulations.

The role requires directing drivers, managing routes, and enforcing safety guidelines, while coordinating with customers, municipalities, and the sales team to maintain service quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years experience in transportation, management, logistics or waste industry.
• Knowledge of Smith System and/or Decision Driving principles and techniques.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• OSHA, DOT, ANSI and related regulations.
• CDL class A or B with valid driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers and daily operations; greet drivers and ensure inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and policy compliance.
• Lead safety meetings and reinforce safe work practices.
• Route new service starts and manage scheduling of containers and service days.
• Respond to dispatches and customer inquiries; coordinate with sales for service changes.
• Monitor route safety, vehicle conditions, and driver performance; conduct observations.
• Oversee DOT hours, attendance, tickets, and injury/accident reporting.
• Provide orientation and training for new employees; conduct performance reviews.
