Job summary

Greystar in Mount Pleasant, SC, seeks a property maintenance technician to support a 360-unit community. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and lead make-ready tasks for new move-ins, while maintaining high standards for grounds, exteriors, and common areas.

You will work Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with rotating on-call, ensuring safety and resident satisfaction across the Greystar portfolio in a busy residential setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Own hand tools unless prohibited by State law and safe use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
• Ability to think logically to diagnose problems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills to interact with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and routine maintenance.
• Oversee and complete make-ready tasks for vacant units and move-ins.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work by team members and contractors for quality and safety.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and schedule supplies within budget.
• Complete monthly preventative maintenance procedures as per policy.
• Assist Community Manager in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-saving practices by repairing rather than replacing when feasible.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Provide courteous, responsive service to residents and colleagues.
