Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC seeks a maintenance technician to oversee and perform routine and preventive work to keep inside and external community areas meeting Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

You will diagnose defects, complete work orders, prepare vacants for leasing, inspect contractors, and support budget planning while maintaining safety and resident service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by state law; skilled with hand/power tools.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication to interact with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete maintenance repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Develop and apply standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work by team members and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools; assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure OSHA and MSDS compliance.
• Assist Community Manager in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing where feasible.
