Job summary
Citi is seeking a Mortgage Lending Officer to originate high quality residential real estate loans for clients. The role involves active engagement with retail branches, real estate agents, and referral partners to drive mortgage business and trusted advisory services.
Responsibilities include assessing clients’ financials, counseling on loan options, and coordinating with processors and underwriters to ensure timely closings. A strong book of business and 3+ years in mortgage sales are required.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years relevant mortgage sales experience
- 3+ years previous mortgage sales experience required
- Residential mortgage experience required
- Established book of business
- Proven product sales capability is required
Responsibilities
- Consult with customers about their financial situation and lending needs
- Collect and analyze information for loan qualification
- Discuss lending solutions and their risks/benefits
- Promote Citi and its lending capabilities to clients and referral sources
- Coordinate with processers and underwriters to close loans
- Develop relationships with Realtors, CPAs, builders, and other referrers
- Ensure compliance with laws and internal policies
