Job summary

Citi Bank Retail Mortgage in Plantation, FL seeks a Mortgage Lending Officer to originate high quality residential real estate loans for clients, working with branch partners, real estate agents and referral sources.

The role emphasizes relationship development, risk awareness and adherence to lending regulations, with responsibilities to analyze financials, present lending solutions, and ensure timely closings. 2–5 years mortgage sales experience preferred; Bachelor's degree required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years relevant mortgage experience.
• 3+ years mortgage sales experience required.
• Residential Mortgage experience required.
• Established book of business.
• Proven product sales capability.
• FHA/VA & conventional loan experience preferred.
• Ability to explain financial calculations and pricing.
• Knowledge of consumer lending laws and RESPA.
• Strong customer service and relationship skills.
• Must register as a mortgage loan originator with the Registry.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about financing needs to reach home ownership goals.
• Collect and analyze financial information and credit history.
• Assess qualification for lending solutions and make recommendations.
• Advise customers on risks and benefits of lending options.
• Promote Citi's lending services to real estate professionals and clients.
• Visit customers outside Citi's offices as needed.
• Collaborate with internal partners to grow our customer base.
• Coordinate with Operations to transfer loan applications and documents.
• Work with Processors/Closers to ensure timely loan closing.
• Develop referral relationships with Realtors, CPAs, builders, etc.
