Job summary

Kind Lending in Detroit seeks experienced Retail Loan Consultants to drive new residential mortgage business and build a steady pipeline to meet monthly and annual sales goals. You will generate leads by networking with mortgage, real estate, and related professionals while maintaining relationships that support the purchase and refinance markets.

You will assess customers’ financial situations, propose the best loan solutions, and ensure loans meet customer needs and Kind Lending guidelines.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of full-time retail loan origination experience.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to structure and price loans.
• NMLS license in the applicable state.
• Self-motivation and being a proactive mortgage professional.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• Experience with FHA, VA, conventional, jumbo, refinance, and purchase products.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with borrowers and leverage relationships to help customers achieve mortgage goals.
• Consult with customers and analyze financial situations to propose best loan solutions.
• Ensure loans meet customer needs and Kind Lending guidelines.
• Understand loan origination process and coordinate with support staff.
