Job summary

Velair Property Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and improve our apartment communities. You will perform preventative maintenance, skilled repairs, and unit preparation to keep residents safe and comfortable.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, attention to safety, and effective communication. Schedule: Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (40 hours/week) with on-call rotation for emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of related maintenance experience preferred, ideally in multi-family housing.
• Basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, drywall, painting, appliance repair, and general maintenance tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs on building interior and exterior systems.
• Respond to emergency maintenance service requests and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Assist with snow and ice removal when applicable and document completion.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and MSDS.
• Travel to other sites within the portfolio as needed to provide maintenance support.
• Maintain possession of required tools necessary to perform maintenance duties.
• Complete additional duties as assigned in a timely and professional manner.
