Job summary

Ambling Property Investments is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and a variety of tasks around the apartment community. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and timely repairs to keep units ready for new residents.

You will schedule checks, read manuals, assist contractors, respond to 24-hour emergencies, and complete make-ready tasks for vacant units while monitoring building systems and keeping common areas in good condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months to one year related experience and/or training.
• Basic computer data entry and use of property management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance checks.
• Maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations.
• Read maintenance manuals and service bulletins to determine repair methods.
• Handle 24-hour emergency maintenance responses and on-call duties.
• Complete make-ready work for vacant apartments as directed.
• Monitor building systems and alert the Property Manager to issues.
• Assist outside contractors and monitor their work.
• Perform grounds work and basic landscaping as directed.
• Carry out quarterly unit-by-unit inspections.
