Job summary

Avenue5 Residential in Ventura, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to address apartment and property maintenance duties under supervision, while delivering high standards of customer service and curb appeal.

Responsibilities include repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, HVAC, and preventative maintenance; maintain work orders; inspect grounds and respond to emergencies; promote safety and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in property management or related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs across electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC and grounds.
• Carry out general carpentry tasks such as wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, window/door repair.
• Conduct preventive maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, elevator and more.
• Maintain work order system and ensure orders are completed to standard and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds, buildings and common areas for safety and cleanliness and identify issues.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow, fires, floods) and communicate issues to maintenance leadership.
• Promote safety and risk management per company rules and local regulations.
• Participate in on-call/after-hours maintenance with required response times.
• Maintain professional appearance and foster positive relationships with residents and teams.
