Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a property maintenance technician to ensure the physical aspects of the property meet standards for cleanliness, safety, and function. The role involves completing work orders, making ready units for new residents, maintaining grounds, and assisting with cost-containment through efficient repairs.

Required EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certifications, state/local certifications, and a valid driver’s license for on-site operations.

Qualifications

• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing building systems following safety standards and code requirements.
• Experience with completing and documenting work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Ability to manage material and tool usage and minimize waste while maintaining quality work.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and performing repairs.
• Executes the make-ready process to prepare vacant units, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Accesses materials and tools from the maintenance department, tracks inventory, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Completes documentation for service requests to ensure proper tracking and records.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, including cleaning, painting curbs, and upkeep of amenities.
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts where feasible and using materials efficiently.
