Job summary

Invitation Homes is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform high-quality maintenance across multiple trades in single-family rental homes. You will deliver outstanding resident service, complete proactive inspections, and fix issues in occupied and vacant properties as needed.

The role requires OSHA 10, residential repair experience, and ability to handle varied tasks from plumbing to minor HVAC. A valid driver’s license and mobile device proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• OSHA 10 certification required (90 days to obtain if not already certified).
• Proven residential repairs and maintenance experience.
• Understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems; ability to perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, HVAC (minor) and appliances repairs.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; multilingual a plus.
• Comfort with using mobile devices (iPad/iPhone) and apps.
• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance; any state licenses as required.
• Preferred certifications: EPA Type I/II, HVAC, CPO (pool).
• Ability to work regular weekends/holidays and to lift 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance service requests across multiple trades.
• Provide excellent customer service and promote quality living experiences.
• Conduct ProCare visits for proactive maintenance and repairs.
• Educate residents on maintenance topics.
• Complete property condition assessments and alert management when action is needed.
• Review technician reports to identify improvement opportunities.
• Repair vacancies during turn or on-market periods.
• Use and care for company tools, materials, and vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
