Job summary

Invitation Homes is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform high-quality maintenance across multiple trades in single-family rental homes. You will provide outstanding resident service and complete tasks with respect for residents’ homes.

You will handle ProCare visits, educate residents on home systems, and coordinate follow-up visits via the maintenance app. The role requires OSHA 10, 2–5+ years in maintenance, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5+ years’ proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance or related experience.
• OSHA 10 is required (90 days to complete if not cert.)
• Certifications are a plus: EPA Type I/II/Universal, HVAC, CPO (pool)
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; multilingual is a plus
• Comfortable with mobile devices (iPad/iPhone) and apps
• Able to understand residential construction and mechanical systems; able to perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
• Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance; other licenses as required by state law
• Able to work regularly, including weekends/holidays
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and use standard maintenance equipment

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance service requests across multiple trades.
• Provide excellent customer service and promote quality living experience for residents.
• Perform work while respecting residents’ homes.
• Complete ProCare visits and schedule next maintenance visit via app.
• Educate residents on maintenance topics and resident responsibilities.
• Educate on systems of their rental home.
• Conduct property condition assessments and alert management for urgent items.
• Review technician reports for improvement opportunities.
• Repair in vacant properties during turn or on-market periods.
• Use and care for company tools, materials, and vehicles.
• Review next day appointments to ensure everything needed is available for a single visit.
• Follow Invitation Homes safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
