Invitation Homes, a leader in single‑family rental homes, seeks a Maintenance Technician II to perform high‑quality maintenance across multiple trades and deliver outstanding customer service to residents. The role emphasizes proactive upkeep, safety, and clear communication.

The position requires a high school diploma, OSHA 10, and hands‑on repair experience. A valid driver’s license and basic tool set are essential, with opportunities for certifications and advancement within a supportive team

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA 10 required; new hires have 90 days to complete.
• Residential repairs and maintenance experience.
• Understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems; ability to perform general repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, HVAC minor, appliances).
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; multilingual a plus.
• Comfortable using mobile devices (iPad/iPhone) and apps.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and insurance; other licenses as required by state law.
• EPA Type I/II, HVAC, and pool certifications preferred but not required.
• Regular and consistent attendance, including weekends/holidays as needed.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds; perform required tasks.
• May conduct occupancy checks and eviction-related activities with local law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance service requests across multiple trades.
• Provide excellent customer service and promote quality living for residents.
• Complete ProCare visits to perform proactive maintenance and repairs.
• Educate residents on maintenance topics.
• Perform property condition assessments and alert management for immediate needs.
• Review technician reports to identify improvements.
• Repair vacant properties during market/turn periods.
• Use and care for company tools, materials, and vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
