Job summary

Invitation Homes is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform high-quality maintenance across multiple trades in our single-family rental homes and deliver outstanding customer service to residents. The role involves proactive maintenance during ProCare visits, educated residents on upkeep, and performing repairs in occupied or vacant homes.

You will use company tools and technology, adhere to safety standards, and collaborate with property management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• OSHA 10 certification required or will be completed within 90 days of hire.
• Proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance.
• Understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems; able to repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, exterior structure, HVAC (minor) and appliances.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; multilingual a plus.
• Comfort with using mobile devices (iPad/iPhone) and various mobile apps.
• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance; any required state licenses/certifications.
• EPA Certification, Type I and II HVAC, CPO certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance service requests across multiple trades.
• Provide excellent customer service and promote a quality living experience for residents.
• Conduct ProCare visits for proactive maintenance and repairs in residents' homes.
• Educate residents on maintenance topics.
• Perform property condition assessments and alert management for immediate attention.
• Review and use technician reports to identify improvement opportunities.
• Repair vacant properties during turnover or on the market.
• Use and care for company tools, materials, and vehicles.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
