Job summary

Straight and Narrow, headquartered in Paterson, NJ, is seeking a Part-Time Residential Life Shift Leader to supervise clients and oversee operations during the 8:00am–4:00pm shift across Passaic/Patterson/Secaucus programs.

The role demands crisis intervention, incident reporting and collaboration with clinical, medical, and administrative teams to maintain a safe, structured treatment environment for clients in recovery settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification or plan to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Must have a driver’s license and valid in NJ; driving agency vehicles is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, disciplined, caring therapeutic environment and supervise all clients.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as situations arise.
• Document incidents, concerns and shift-related issues for the onsite supervisor.
• Coordinate with medical and administrative teams to support continuity of care.
• Oversee daily tasks, client counts, and housekeeping activities on shift.
• Ensure policy compliance, training and Medicaid-related documentation as needed.
