Job summary

Invitation Homes seeks an HVAC Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across our portfolio of single-family rental homes. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, replace components, and document work in our maintenance system, ensuring safety and EPA guidelines are followed.

Qualifications

• HVAC field skills and safety training required.
• Experience with residential HVAC systems preferred.
• EPA refrigerant handling knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems in single-family rental homes
• Perform preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment
• Respond to resident service requests and emergencies in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical HVAC issues and replace faulty components
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and EPA regulations
• Document work orders, parts used, and time in maintenance systems
• Coordinate with property operations teams and vendors for larger repairs
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in safe working condition
• Provide professional, courteous service to residents and internal stakeholders
• Participate in on-call rotations and occasional after-hours or weekend work
