Job summary

Progress Residential, the leading property manager of single-family rental homes, is seeking a Service Technician III - HVAC to inspect, troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems in our Progress Residential homes. You will provide an outstanding resident experience and support cost controls.

The role requires at least 5 years of general maintenance experience, HVAC and EPA certifications, own basic tools, a valid driver’s license, and availability for on-call, weekends, and evenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in general service and maintenance (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, drywall repair, etc.).
• HVAC Certification is preferred.
• EPA Certification is required.
• Own basic tools required to perform ongoing service.
• Valid driver’s license in the working state.
• Available for on-call service, weekends and evenings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations quickly and determine steps to resolve service requests while delivering excellent service.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and service requests including replacements or modifications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot advanced issues, repair or replace defective equipment or components on HVAC systems.
• Report major repairs or replacements before expenditures.
• Ensure property safety and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Dress and conduct yourself professionally when interacting with residents and vendors.
