Job summary

Franklin Energy is seeking a field technician to install, inspect, modify, remove and service Direct Load Control devices in residential settings. The role requires basic HVAC aptitude, electrical knowledge, and mechanical understanding to meet customer specifications and safety standards.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of relevant experience, a High School diploma, and reliable transportation. Travel up to 95% and participation in on-call shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience in wiring, lighting, HVAC or related tech.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Basic knowledge of building science/energy auditing.
• Experience installing technologies and using tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, modify, remove and/or service DLC devices.
• Exhibit basic HVAC technical aptitude.
• Understand electrical/electronic usage and mechanical principles.
• Navigate air conditioning components; ensure safety and quality.
• Maintain professional appearance and customer service standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation and travel to job sites as needed.
• Conduct inventory counts and report; keep warehouse and fleet areas organized.
