Job summary

Franklin Energy is seeking a Direct Load Control Technician to install, inspect, and service DLC devices in residential markets. You will apply basic HVAC knowledge, perform electrical and mechanical tasks, and ensure safety and quality standards across projects.

Travel is possible; strong customer service and communication skills are essential. A valid driver’s license and the ability to work independently or in teams are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience preferably in basic wiring, lighting, HVAC, troubleshooting and/or other technologies installed in commercial/residential applications.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude required.
• Basic construction knowledge

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, modify, remove and/or service DLC devices.
• Exhibit HVAC technical aptitude and understanding.
• Work with electrical/electronic concepts and mechanical theories.
• Understand air conditioning system components.
• Maintain professional appearance and customer-facing standards.
• Meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours service calls.
• Assist with inventory counts and reporting.
