Job summary

Franklin Energy is seeking a Direct Load Control Technician to install, inspect, modify, remove and service DLC devices in residential markets. You will work safely to meet client standards and may travel to job sites as needed. HVAC aptitude and basic electrical/technical skills are required.

Responsibilities include teamwork, on-call rotations, inventory reporting, and maintaining warehouse and fleet organization. A valid driver’s license and 1–3 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience in basic wiring, lighting, HVAC, or related technologies.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude required.
• Basic construction knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of building science/energy auditing.
• Experience installing technologies, manual labor and using tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, modify, remove and service DLC devices.
• Exhibit HVAC technical aptitude and understanding.
• Perform electrical/electronic work and mechanical principles.
• Ensure safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team to improve operations.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours service calls.
• Submit inventory reports and keep warehouse/vehicle areas organized.
