Job summary

Franklin Energy is seeking a field technician to install, inspect, modify, remove and service Direct Load Control devices in residential markets. You will demonstrate basic HVAC aptitude, work with electrical and mechanical principles, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires reading technical documents, strong customer service, and the ability to travel as needed and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience in wiring, lighting, HVAC, or related technologies.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude required.
• Basic construction knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of building science/energy auditing.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, modify, remove and/or service DLC devices.
• Demonstrate HVAC technical aptitude and understanding.
• Work safely with electrical/electronic systems and mechanical principles.
• Understand air conditioning system components.
• Meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours service.
• Complete inventory counts and submit reports as requested.
• Maintain clean and organized warehouses and fleet areas.
• Travel to job sites as needed and occasionally on weekends.
