Job summary

Franklin Energy is seeking a field service technician to install, inspect, modify, and service Direct Load Control devices for residential systems. The role requires basic HVAC and electrical aptitude, strong customer service, and adherence to safety standards.

The position involves travel up to 95%, teamwork, and potential after-hours on-call rotations, with a starting hourly wage of $22–$24 depending on experience and location.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years experience in basic wiring, lighting, HVAC or related tech.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude is required.
• Basic construction knowledge helpful for field work.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, modify, remove or service DLC devices.
• Navigate basic HVAC components and electrical concepts.
• Maintain safety and professional appearance on site.
• Ensure work meets customer specs and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team and document inventory and reports.
• Occasional weekend travel to job sites may be required.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours service.
